Long, long, ago my family played an integral role in the independence of Haiti. I carry on the legacy of seeking to advance the quality of life of the people of Haiti as well as work to secure human rights that are barely recognized by their own government.
The first project I embarked on was to provide access to education. In 2008 my family and I built the largest preliminary school in Léogâne, Haiti. The quality of education that we provided was unheard of in the community we built our school in. We used a contemporary school curriculum and a very talented, motivated and educated staff of teachers. After the earthquake we lost everything. But, we intend to rebuild.
This time, the school will be more than just a place to receive an education. Now that half of the population of Haiti is under 21 years old, Colline Academie intends to produce the future leaders of Haiti.
